What subjects are necessary for engineering?

Hi guys , i just finished IGCSE and started to study for A lvls, But i don‘t really know what subjects do i need to take for engineering in which i m interested. Can you guys tell me the subjects needed for differnt kinds of enginnering because i m asking for my friends too. Thank you.

Generally, it is maths and physics. You need 2 more subjects for AS level and drop one of the subjects for A2 to get 3 A-levels.
There are many types of engineering. Which ones are you most interested on?

I m interested in mechanics. Repairing or making machines :smile:

For mechanical engineering all you really need is maths and physics the other two subjects are entirely up to you :smile:

Actually, chemistry is recommended for mechanical engineering as well. For civil, same as mechanical. Maths, Physics and Chemistry. AS further maths would be great as well.

I would suggest Maths and Physics and then Further Maths or Chemistry and any other subject for interest. Civil engineering is a very broad course which allows one to further specialise either in uni or when you start working.
