Spots are useful.

Prediictably the gym at work is excellent for this, lots of super competitive middle aged blokes who think they've still go it. They never had it to start with.
I have seen a lot young people in gym who have lifted huge weights, but these ones didn't perform the practice rightly. I don't think so that all of them are doing this to raise their ego. I'm sure that some of them don't know how to do it. Some of them seems really to believe that it is enough to lift weight as much as possible.
