Should i apply to oxford ? (PPE)

I am thinking about applying to PPE at oxford. My school have predicted me 3 A * for A2 so i think an offer is achieveable. However whilst the course looks great I am unsure whether i would find the workload manageable or the oxford life enjoyable. I work very hard when im in school and around exam time, but outside schooltime i use most of my time for my social life and playing music or football. I live in london and go to things like raves, music festivals and house parties very frequently. Would i enjoy oxford or should i not apply? Is it as hard as people say or would someone like me be able to fit in? Any replies would be greatly appreciated.
Just because you're predicted three A*s doesn't mean an offer is definitely achievable.

There is a lot more to the process than just A level predictions! You need to have great GCSEs, a decent TSA score and interview well to even be in the running for an offer. Particularly with a course as competitive as PPE.

You need to be interested enough in the subject to dedicate 30+ hours a week to it, what you do in the rest of your time is up to you. Plenty of people manage a decent balance between work and social lives at Oxford so that shouldn't put you off!

yes i am aware of the application process - my question is to oxford students about the actual student life there and whether anyone like me would find it an enjoyable experience or whether i should go somewhere more chilled/with better nightlife etc

The actual student life is the same as most university student's lives, albeit with more work. Oxford is what you make of it, there are people there who love going out and do so as much as they want. It's about finding a balance between everything.

You can't have a job during term time, so that means you could argue the increase in work is counterbalanced by this.

If you're that worried about it, then perhaps Oxford isn't for you! But there is no reason to be put off just by worries about student life - you can have whatever balance of work, nightlife and socialising as you want!
