When do you apply for uni?

I'm starting my first year of college tomorrow and obviously I know I won't be applying anytime soon, but when the time comes will it be in my second year before or after christmas?

People usually apply before the Christmas, I had my Uni interviews before Christmas and early January.
For equal consideration, you apply from the time Ucas opens (sometime in mid September) to Jan 15th, unless you are applying for Oxbridge, medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine, in which case it's by October 15th. After that, it's a late application and may not be considered.
although you won't be applying anytime soon if you have any idea what you want to study at university check you are doing suitable A levels by looking here http://www.russellgroup.ac.uk/informed-choices/

If you have no idea what to study then it'sa good idea to plan a visit to a local university open day http://www.opendays.com/calendar/ and perhaps attend a talk or two related to what you are studying. Hopefully that will give you some ideas and you can begin to think about perhaps finding some work experience to help you make up your mind.
