International Politics Work Experience

Hello, I was wondering what kinds of work experience would be available(or relevant)for someone studying politics at A-Level and then going onto to study International Relations, leading to a career in international politics (possibly diplomatic work). Stuck for ideas:s
Work experience in international politics can be tricky to come by, but you could contact organisations like the Commonwealth Association and see if they have anything. Googling other international organisations would be worth while. You could also get in touch with your MP or MEP and ask them, or think tanks and charities that do international work.
