Has everyone bought wristbands? Do you really need them for welcome week?

Hi, I'm a second year at UoL. Last year I didn't get a freshers band and didn't miss out on anything because of it. Unless you plan on going to every event (which I assume you won't, because nobody does), then they're definitely not worth it. It's £50 wasted.

Most clubs in Liverpool are free to get in to - save for maybe Walkabout (£3) and PopWorld (£5). If I were you I'd just pay for tickets to the ones you want to go to. The UV party was good last year, and the welcome ball, but they were the only ones I went to because ultimately the other events didn't look too good, and we just paid on the door for them.

Hi, I was too late to buy tickets for fresher so was wondering if we are not going to get wristbands do we buy tickets on the door or online before we go?
