I am not the best person to answer your question because I arrived in the country one year ago, I am African. I just wanted to advise you to go in another topic where you will get more attention. I noticed you posted 6 hours ago, which is pretty long for such a good question. Try study topics or relationships topic where people are more crowded.

I use Scottish slang when talking with Scottish people, not so much with English people (because they don't understand it). I use it because it makes the conversation less formal, and often the slang words are euphemisms, but mainly because everyone else uses it so it just happens that way. I can't really think of many examples right now.
