random sample???

i have jst done my cwk where we had to do our own experiemnt. we used a random sample, (we just picked anyone that came past our room) but we excluded psychololgy students from the experiemnt. what type of sample did we use??

A random sample of non-psychology students.

If you asked anyone who was available at that moment then it would be an opportunity sample.

If you just picked anyone that came pass, shouldn't it be OPPORTUNITY sampling and not random? Random is like, having a whole list of names and drawing them out of a hat.
