Does student finance cover GDL/LPC conversion course?

Sorry if this question has come up before but is there form of student finance that is available to cover taking the GDL conversion course to law?

And am I right in thinking that certain law firms fund your LPC provided you return to them for work after you gain your qualification? i.e. a trainee contract?

And how hard is it to complete a full-time law conversion course??

Thanks
No, you are not eligible for student finance for the GDL or LPC.

If you get a TC, your firm may sponsor the GDL and/or LPC fees, and contribute an amount for living costs. Not all firms will necessarily do this.

Funding options available are the career development loan (not for the GDL - you have to be going into work after finishing the course, whereas for the GDL, you would go into the LPC after; and this is repayable upon finishing the course - it is not like a student loan) and any institution specific loans - some of the GDL/LPC providers offer loans that you can take out to cover fees and living costs, but these are usually capped at a certain amount, and again, they are not like student finance - you will begin repayment after finishing the course.
