Being older than everyone at uni

Okay, I'm in my last year of sixth form and planning on doing a gap year with project trust to go to Malawi and then go to university to do psychology.

I know it may seem petty but I'm just worried about starting uni and being a year older than everyone else, and since my birthday is in September I'm one of the oldest in my intake anyway. And it's kinda putting me off my gap year, even though I know it will be a great experience.

Any thoughts/advice?
Thanks
Definitely do your gap year! Don't worry about being older, you will only be 1 year older, there may be a lot of more matur students e.g. 25 upwards so im sure you'll fit in with the younger ones fine!

Yeah it's petty. Don't sweat
Are English students usually 19 when they start university?

Blimey I was expecting a story of being 25+. Any age is fine and noone will bat an eye lid that you're a year older. Unless you tell people most people won't even notice.
