bad GCSEs but good A levels

I am currently a year 13 student studying A-Levels. I did my GCSEs at a low academic performance school and here are my GCSE results:-
Maths-A*
Physics-A
Chemistry-A
Biology-B
English Language-C
Art-C
P.E.-C
Business Studies-D
The reason for getting these relatively low GCSE grades is because English is my second language and I took these exams with only 3 years knowledge of English. I was the only student who passed the GCSE English in my class where others are all native speakers. However I am going to do the IELTS examination in order to meet the English requirement.

I am now doing Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics toward A2. I have already achieved an A* in A level maths. My predicted grades are;
Maths-A*
Further Maths-A*
Chemistry-A*
Physics-A
Is there chance for me to study engineering at Imperial or Cambridge?
