I've actually seen a post from a girl on here who applied to medicine and got an offer from Liverpool of AAA to get in with A*A*B, without even going through clearing. Although I don't know if it's changed since but in terms of tariff points A*A*B would be higher. I think it depends on the strength of your overall application.
H, last year I received an offer of A A A, results day morning at 6.30 checked with my college on line and had got A* in Biology, psychology, general studies and EPQ but only a B in Chemistry. Track was down until 7.30 when offers were going live, so I had an agonising wait. I phoned the med school at 7am when they opened and they confirmed I had been accepted with the B. Track confirmed it 30 mins later. Not sure if this happens often but good luck. Hope this helps. 😊
Posted from TSR Mobile One of the girls I live with got accepted with AABB. She was rejected initially but received a call a few days later saying they had a space for her.
