C3 Trig help

Having some difficulties answering the question below:

Find the greatest value that the following expression can have and state the value of x between 0 and 360, for which these values occur

sinxcos40 +cosxsin40

Any help would be massively appreciated
sinxcos40+cosxsin40\sin{x}\cos{40} + \cos{x}\sin{40} is a compound angle formula. It equals sin(x+40)\sin{(x + 40)}.

The maximium value this can have, therefore, is when sin(x+40)=1\sin{(x + 40)} = 1. So, when x+40=90x + 40 = 90(sin 90 = 1). So the maximum value would be x=50x = 50 I believe.

That now makes sense, thanks ever so much
