She's fake.

The post she put up about her having drinks with her friends, I put in a few of the pictures of those profiles, and all of them came up with tumblrs/instagrams of different people who clearly aren't them. I think the person who has created that FB profile has gone an awful long way to 'cover up' stuff. Sorry mate.

Wow I really hope thats not the case, what do you mean by the fake profiles the actual people that are commenting on her page? I've never bothered to check anything like that, but i'm very worried now. :frown:

Cheers mate, I have actually done the good image reverse search and nothings came up which is a positive sign. I'll post some pics of her here so you can judge better.

What do you think? Does she look like someone that would really be on an online dating site? Maybe i'm just paranoid but something deep down tells me that something isn't right.

I looked through it and found "Wendy Rees", and put the image through Google search and it came up with model Jocelyn Chew: http://gyazo.com/8a97e33603f3234ad2a491aeb4793176

It also seems weird that the profiles have commented on that post (bar the last guy) have all set their profiles to the same privacy setting. Now, it might just be a pure coincidence, but it does throw a lot of red signals up for me.

From my perspective, I also notice how every profile seems to have a poorly rendered image as their profile picture. Now surely, if you have a good photo of yourself (even with today's technology), it must be high-quality as well?

And this last bit I've just found out. The first name tagged in the status "Nicole Sanchez". I ran the picture through Google Image Search and came across this person: https://www.facebook.com/aerial.mcfarland which looks like it's this person.

EDIT: Ah yes, I thought she looked familiar (referring to post above mine).

Wow... I don't know what to say. Thats clearly her! :frown: I feel like an absolute mug, to think i've wasted all that time and countless hours talking to someone I thought was legit. Thank you so much for helping me out though, i'm just lost for words right now. Don't even have the energy to confront her about it and tbh whats the ****ing point it's clearly someone who has no life if they do things like that to people. I feel like crap.

Just be thankful it never went any further e.g. having to meet her in public. As long as you know now, you'll be fine. It happens to many of us, I mean heck, it's happened to me too. But, you become a better person by learning from mistakes. Keep your head up.

You should post her the true person's link to profile and see what they are going to say :colone: I remember I've confronted once a person who was fake and all they did was blocked me :laugh:

Ridiculous thing is some people (pointing at men) who still believed that all the fake profiles of girls with porn star pictures were actually the people they were talking to :teehee:

ah sorry man. Don't worry about it it can happen to anyone, at least you have good taste in women :wink: It appears that person got her photos from her pinterest. If you decide to reply to her I would act as if you knew and you was just seeing how stupid that person is being to make her feel stupid after all it takes a stupid person to do stuff like that.

I feel real bad for you, man. The only slight upside in the situation is that it's happened to most of us (several times to me). Just keep your guard up when talking with these people online, there are a lot genuine ones out there, but some weirdos too. Again, sorry about the way it ended up for you.

I'm just going to message her and then delete her and move on with my life, i'll get over it in time but it's hard because I really had feelings for her and to know it's all been a complete waste of time relly hurts.

It just makes me so angry, i'll never meet a girl as good looking as that and I thought I was the luckiest man alive when I started talking to her and she seemed so interested in me and wanted to know everything about me, I couldn't believe my luck. Never told my friends about her, wanted to wait to see her in person before I told them about her so i'm glad I never now. Just absolutely gobsmacked right now and feel pretty sick about the whole thing.
They're making Catfish UK so you could have got to meet Nev & Max and be on TV. :frown: Sorry TSR solved your problem for you but hope everything turns out okay.

Your method worked and I am impressed, but if someone downloaded the image and then reuploaded it you wouldn't be able to use google reverse etc. to trace back.

Only if the catfish is an entire plank and does this a smart one would not allow the image to be traced back though..

EDIT : I've just read the posts above and I'm so sorry OP :frown: Have you confronted her? What did she say? Did you two exchange nudes at any point in time? I'm struggling to think of what she/he was after if you were talking for weeks. Or maybe you've just had a lucky escape, maybe they're robbers or killers or something looking to ambush you when you go to 'meet' her :/ Look on the bright side haha :smile:
