what is your resting heart rate?

mine is 56 BPM:eek:

I just so happened to measure mine last night. It was 50 BPM. I don't what it means.

well im looking it up now, because after exercise mine is 180 BPM.

apparently between 60-100 is good for resting

ahh nvm: Athletes who have done a lot of training may see their resting heart rate fall below 60 beats a minute, possibly to as low as 40 beats a minute.

I wouldn't know what mine is after exercise. I don't do any exercise, I probably should though.

Just taken it now... 71 bpm
Lowest its ever been is 58 bpm

Nowhere near as much as I used to.

My guess is that it has something to do with my diet because when I eat normally or when I binge my heart rate is the average rate but when I restrict my caloric intake it becomes low again.

tested mine when i've woken up one morning and it was 36bpm.


there seems to be a lot of people in this thread who don't understand heart rates. Lower heart rates are generally (or always?) a ot better than higher ones. I thought the general rule was the lower the better.

have you tried bulimia? you can eat like normal and still lose weight

True - Mo Farah's resting heart rate is about 33 bpm or so I've read.
But 36 is extremley low unless you're a professional athlete
