Books about geology

I enjoyed studying physical geography at GCSE and I would like to learn more about geology. Can anyone recommend me some interesting books? I mean popular science books that you are supposed to read in one go, not textbooks.

The books by Jan Zalasiewicz are very good - I enjoyed goldilocks planet! (He's one of my lecturers at Leicester Uni)
it may be a little hard to follow, but everything is very well explained :smile:
