Offline Leicester Uni Street Map - free App

Just come across a great free app.

PDF Maps by Avenza - on Android and iphone. It allows you to use downloaded maps offline.

There's a map of all Leicester Uni halls and buildings - would be great for freshers! :smile:

we're not all map people - could you give us a clue how to get the map?

Hi big_Ldog,

I've only got the iPhone app but I guess the Android one is much the same. Download the App and go to the maps page. Click the '+' button, then select "From Avenza Map Store". Hit the search button and enter "Leicester" and search. The first map shown will be Leicester University - there is another one which covers more area of the city but it doesn't have the university locations highlighted on it. Select the map and then the price (only 69p) to download it.

You can download a list of all of the "point features" on the map (the University buildings etc). This allows you to centre the map on any one of them - let me know if you may want to do this.
