Should women and society be worried about men dropping out?

You have perhaps heard of Dr Helen Smith's book, Men on Strike, which describes how men are dropping out of their traditional roles in society.

In Japan, there is a growing movement of "Herbivore" men who aren't interested in marrying or having families. The West has "MGTOWs" - men who go their own way, forgoing the expectations society places on them and doing whatever the hell they want - in particular avoiding marriage and hence the absolute cluster**** that is divorce in the West.

I read a very interesting blog post, Guys Opting Out Of The Game, where there are lots of commenters saying they are no longer interested in dealing with women's bull****. There's another interesting post from a few years back, Yes Men Do Leave The Market, with similar tales.

The age of first marriage continues rising and the marriage rate continues dropping. With hypergamous women becoming ever more educated and successful, our generation will have the greatest ever number of women who cannot find husbands due to a lack of higher status men. Meanwhile men are increasingly aware that marriage is a terrible deal for men in the West.

As Dalrock pointed out, women are weakening the signal that used to tell men they need to work hard, be responsible, and prepare to financially support a family. Society has created a generation of Peter-Pan man-boys, more interested in porn, computer games, or casual sex rather than leading a family.

Incentives drive human behaviour. Feminism and the sexual revolution is responsible for this breakdown of the family, and disincentivising men from working hard to become good providers and protectors of families. Why sacrifice and work hard when the only women who want to get married are post-their-prime unfeminine women, who had been banged for free when they were younger, hotter and tighter?

Anyway: Should women and society be worried about men dropping out?

Gentlemen - I will see you poolside as we enjoy the decline. Or overseas where feminine, family-oriented young women can still be found.

If you need women as an incentive to try and be successful then that is just sad. Although the fact you used the phrase "leading a family" sort of says it all.
If you decide to get married for the right reasons then nothing you've said would even matter.

Masculine men put their mission above their woman. However, providing for a family has been a significant motivation for men throughout history.

Furthermore, the masculine man is inspired by a feminine woman. Compare and contrast how inspired you feel by the pretty, young feminine woman vs the angry feminist below.

Love the contrasting pictures.

Although I think you're wrong, the western countries will just replace the men who drop out with workers from foreign countries. The women who can't find men will just have babies from sperm banks.

There is also a chance they will start cracking down on men who drop out, through taxation, making it harder to move capital abroad, make it harder to bring women to the west etc.

They will really struggle if they can''t attract foreign workers. This would be a disaster for them.

Those in power do not like these thoughts and they will stop them at all costs.

If you need a woman to inspire you to not be a loser you are not masculine you are pathetic. Seriously, if women not needing you to provide for them takes away your lifes purpose then you have absolutely no self respect.

And yeah sure, all feminists are unattractive and unfeminine

There are so many things much more interesting than chasing sex/relationships, hardly a surprise when the onus for initiation rests almost entirely on men. It's a waste of time compared to having fun with your mates or expanding your mind or cultivating a hobby of some sort.

No. Good riddance to such men who cannot handle successful women. Good riddance to men who need make women inferior to feel like a man. Good riddance to men who cannot be arsed to self motivate themselves. Good riddance to men who blame their inability to be responsible on women. Good riddance to men who are against gender inequality. Good riddance to men who cannot handle a woman with a sexual past. Good riddance to men who blame the breakdown of families on women who refuse to be treated as inferior. Good riddance to men who only value women for their age and attractiveness.

Society is better without them.
If some men don't want to get married or have families, what's the problem? Seriously? They're not under any obligation to...
You can be both feminine and a feminist. Your post is full of false dichotomies and bitterness

It's pretty obvious that feminists do not think long term. They can only see a metre ahead.

This is obvious by the fact they know all women want a decent guy but limited men's access to education and good careers. Now those women have to fight over a limited supply of good quality men.

How do feminists limit mens' access to education or good careers? Feminists even the playing field so that men and women have an equal opportunity for both. And I don't understand how being a decent guy correlates with education/careers. Decency is in their attitude, not their wallet.

Tokenism vs. Meritocracy. Companies need an exact 50/50 split of men and women on graduate roles. So if you do IT for example, and you've got a penis, you need to be prepared to not get an IT role or a fasttrack to the top because you don't deserve it because of the wrongdoings of a dead generation...

Lol, look at the mad feminist.

I don't think any of that is important. Only making the laws more fair is and less in favour of women.
Why is there such a war between people going on? Surf a few waves together, maybe get some alps powder in the slopes and make love not war maaan

By this logic your supposed apocalypse should have already happened - in the post-WW2 decades when we had much higher taxes and capital controls than we do now.

Yes, I'm a feminist and yes, I'm furious. Not sure why that's a laughing matter.
