There are a lot of South-Asians at Aston. My mate goes there.

Anyway, don't worry about being a loner. Just be friendly, talk to people before lectures and you should be fine. Also, join the relevant Facebook groups.

You'll be fine, just remember everyone is in the same boat when they came here, you might want to consider joining a society when you get here, i found it the easiest way to make friends when i was an undergraduate. There is also a Pakistani society along with a number of societies to cater for any interests you have.

Don't worry about your first week, just make the effort to speak to people and you'll be fine. :smile:
