hi thanks a lot of the positive help here in the thread and also the humour like mentioned. Yes, im a type that visits the library often, reads a lot, but that not in one way has affected my social well being. I still go out a lot with my immediate friend circle, however my request is how can i expand this, HOWEVER meeting others that are similar to myself.

I like musicals, theatricals, art galleries, cafes, museums, and very laid back things, rather the "yo yo yo" attitudes many of my friends have.

Thank you to those for the positive help, i will definately be joining more societies as they arise. If you can inform me of ways which do not include socities, groups and uni, that will be appreciated.

well lets see..... even if you are genetically good looking.... your spare time is spent inside, reading books (putting on fat) and staying indoors (getting pale) and talking about books (yawn). Its just boring..... and you cant really socialise that well in a bloody library.

Then would you please explain how there are so many really fit girls studying English lit? :p:

2) There's surely no inherent advantage in being tanned over being pale, is there?

Actually, unless you have naturally dark, olive skin, there's more of an advantage to being pale, as you're less likely to look like a wrinkled old granny by the time you're 30.

The_Bear really seems to have a simple answer. If that's not in your personality, it simply won't work.

I don't see what's wrong with girls who aren't stunningly beauitful.

Your chat-up lines are woefully inept at best.

Yeah, I think you're wrong and also a ****.

I think trite anti-intellectualism, inverted-snobbery and 'books are boring, aren't they guys?????' lowest common denomonator gallery-playing horse**** should/will get you neg rep pretty much regardless of anything else.

Tee hee, what the christ? I suppose since I started re-reading Roads to Freedom I have been piling on the pounds. Sartre goes straight to my hips :frown: .

I can't even reply to this, it speaks for itself beautifully.

Two points for your consideration:

1) No-one ever suggested that the OP or anyone else should chain himself to a desk/sofa/other thing found almost exclusively inside. I'm sure that reading for a bit won't turn him into a Kabuki performer. Or a bukkake performer. Or anything that else that turns the complexion noticeably whiter.

2) There's surely no inherent advantage in being tanned over being pale, is there?

So in short: you're a terrible poster, probably an even worse human being, and your 'YOU JUST CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!;rant; ' responses just make you even more annoying.

Your friend,

Bread and Circlejerks. ;pkiss;

What a post, Mr Bread and Circlejerks! Covered everything which was screaming from within me whilst reading that numpty's posts. Kudos to you.

Was she entranced by "I don't see what's wrong with girls who aren't stunningly beauitful."?

I hope so. I have my own ideas. "I don't mind fat chicks", and "Come with me, I can just about tolerate your facial disfigurement" will surely go down a storm.

have a room party, invite a friend over to cook with you. don't worry if it's just guys at first. maybe some of them know girls. you meet a lot of friends through being introduced by other people. suggest going out for a coffee with people. have lunch in the canteen with people etc.
good luck!

I can understand people who take a decision not to drink, but I think it's a bit silly for someone to just say "I don't go to clubs".
