Physics eddy current dampening effects on pendulum perio

Hey need some help can't get my head around a problemif an aluminium pendulum swans through a magnetic field would the magnetic braking effectively dampening the pendulum cause it's period to increase or not effect it and why Cheers

essenttial does what effects does dampening have onto a pendulum ?

Damping reduces the amplitude of a pendulum.
Damping increase the period of a pendulum. In the case of light damping the increase is very small. As the damping increases so does the period. Eventually, when the damping increases to what is called "critical", the period becomes infinite. That is, in practice, the pendulum no longer oscillates.
