Dutch or German, which is easier to learn?

Serbian is my first language but i only did my schooling for 2 years on serbian.

the rest of my life i spend in english speaking countries meaning english is more like my first language then serbian is..

which one would be easier and faster to pick up German or Dutch?

I've done french and spanish but I've had German and Dutch lessons to see what is prefer to take and although I chose french and spanish - German was so much easier than Dutch - that was hard

German.

I've learnt some basic Dutch and trying to speak it as a second language is a pig. I still can't quite get the pronunciation of gefeliciteerd ("Congratulations"-it's what you say on birthdays)

Unless you want to sound like you're clearing your throat with an extremely guttural language, go with German.

German is also more widely spoken than Dutch.
