If you went, what did you think of the icebreaker and superfresh events? How are the internal university freshers nights in comparison?

I didn't attend either of those events although I know quite a few people who made some great friends there!
However, the internal "official" freshers week nights out are the biggest nights out and are pretty much unrivalled throughout the week. The nights out are based in the founders hall (a massive concert-like area) with several bars and different acts every night (and fancy-dress themes on different nights)!

To enjoy freshers week at it's best I'd definitely encourage you get the official freshers wristband, because they'll some of the best nights of your fresher year!

Sweet, thanks

I appreciate they might not repeat the events each year but which nights were your favourite?

Do you have any top tips for things that might not be obvious before moving in in the first year?

One of our first nights everyone was given a different coloured shirt with their accommodation written on the back (e.g. Solsbury, Quads etc.) so you could *drunkenly* find people living in the same accommodation area as you. It was also quite a nice memento of freshers week!
We also had safari dress up (animals) and a toga night, both were particularly fun!

In terms of moving in tips, try and make sure you've planned out some meals for the first few days at least otherwise it can become a bit hectic and you'll end up eating rubbish food (speaking from personal experience :colondollar:)
Be as sociable as possible! Try bringing some beers for your flatmates, and bring a doorstop! Having an open door for the first few days will help everyone socialise
Writing your initials on some of your kitchenware is a good idea too
Also try and chat to a couple of course-mates either online or during freshers before starting your course, just so you have some familiar faces during lectures

Hope this helped!

Hi guys,

I know that it is very early, however I am waiting for my A-level results on Thursday (I have't been sleeping much these past few days). I logged on to the applicant tracker last night, however, I hadn't logged on since firming bath. I saw under "My useful links" information for new undergraduates. I wanted to know whether this is false hope in thinking that I have place or whether it was because I already firmed bath.

oh yh and good luck to any other applicants waiting their A-level results!.
Hi,

What you are seeing on the Application Tracker is normal and is not an indication of whether you have (or have not) met your offer.

Please check your UCAS track on Thursday in order to find out if you have a place.

Best of luck!

I applied! However I'm not straight out of sixth form so I already had my results and I got confirmation a few months ago.
