Web Development VS. Computer Science

Hi all,

I'm supposed to be applying for university but I'm not quite sure what I want to study or which uni I want to go to. I'm thinking of doing a degree in Web Technologies as I enjoy Web programming. However, most of my teachers are telling me that I should apply for computer science instead of Web programming but I have a feeling that computer science will just be too much for me. Do you think I should apply for computer science or should I just stick with Web Technologies?

Computer Science will leave your options a bit more option. However that degree is more mathsy and will require more programming than a web development degree.

I know it is, I'm not really worried about the maths and programming. I wouldn't just want to waste my time learning various modules which I won't get to use in real life.
