Straight Mathematics vs. Maths Statistics

I've been emailing a few of my potential university choices about what they'll require alongside my BTEC course, and Bristol got back to me asking if I was taking "A level straight Mathematics or Maths Statistics".

What is the difference here, or is it just because I worded it a little odd as Maths Statistics (as if it's only covering statistics units perhaps)?

The course covers C1, C2, C3, C4, S1 and D1 - Is this what they want ("Straight" Maths, or Maths Statistics)?

Your best bet is to ask them to clarify what they mean.
