Whilst this might not be what you want to hear, there isn't really much you can 'do' to make them change their mind about you. That isn't to say that they won't ever change their mind - one of my friends (who is a girl) recently got into a relationship with a guy she's been close friends with for a while, so it's definitely possible.

Only thing I can suggest is that you flirt more. I'm assuming he/she knows you want to date them, so if you won't move on to someone else you just have to sort of wait it out. Not much you can do I'm afraid :/

Why would you want to change for someone? If you change to make him like you then he doesn't really want to be with the real you.. Be the best version of yoirself and if he still doesn't want to date you..move on..
