Solving equations

(x+1)(2x+3) = 4x2 - 22

I can't seem to solve this?

2x^2 -5x-25=0 through bracket expansion and rearranging

(5+-root(25+200))/2 using quadratic formula

Solutions are 10 or -5

EDIT halve those answers sorry, everything should be over 4 not over 2
