:erm: based on what normality? Idk. If I look around, it seems for my demographic, "normal" is obsessed with social media, looks, sex, fashion, money, celebrities.

In that case, I am in the negative zone.

Interesting question. Everyone deviates from normality to a certain extent, so I suppose the first question to be answered is how much does the normal person deviate from normality? And then how do you stand by comparison?

Totally a finger-in-the-air number, I'd guess I'm maybe a 4.

I don't think people would specifically describe me as not normal, but in terms of my interests, beliefs, life goals, etc., I think they deviate me a lot from the conceptual normal person.

I'm not particularly satisfied my opinions of myself are accurate, though.

Probably an 8 or so. Entirely average human being here :yy:

Can't claim to be a fan of rating myself though, judging these things is difficult and often end up being different to what others think

It's okay. I was more interested in how people view themselves rather than how many of us are actually "normal" or "weird" by other peoples standards. It's interesting that most people consider themselves to deviate from what they perceive to be the norm.
Maybe those that consider themselves "weird" are in fact more normal than they think they are, since those who think that they're "normal" currently stand as a minority?

Yeah, I had that in mind when I added my caveat. I think everyone sees themselves as different, just by virtue of being in their own head and never anyone else's. I think everyone can feel different, misunderstood, a lack of connection, etc., but never see these in their friends, causing misperceptions in how 'normal' they are by comparison.

Also I think it's an opportunity for the ego to spark up a little, since nobody really wants to be normal (read: average) or like everyone else.
Standard boring person. I may be so boring that it stops being normal
Difficult to put a number to it, considering everyone is different in at least some ways so the term "normal" can be misleading. I'm guessing I'd be about 5. Normal in some ways, but I'm not very good at socialising and my interests are quite different to the average person.
Define normal lol..5 which means I'm right down the middle

8? I'm a normal person. I feel like I get on with most people regardless of their interests. Some people I know aren't academic at all so I have friends who are models, doing arty stuff, not going to uni, and then others who are applying to oxbridge medicine and physics at imperial etc. So clearly there's something more than interests that's important right? Idk omg this question is actually making me get all deep.
