A university degree is an academic qualification. The academic side of sports performance is largely biology (nutrition and physiology) and psychology, so they are major components of any sports degree.
If you don't want to study the academic side of things, I suggest that you enrol in a training course/camp, either to improve your performance or to learn to coach people.
