Is there really a 'standard' sexuality scale? Even ignoring the fact you're missing a number of sexualities there, it's not exactly a universally accepted scale you're using.

I'm of the mind that other sexualities are bordering on 'special snowflake' status.

Although I don't lose sleep thinking about any of it.

The four you mentioned hardly cover enough for outlying ones to be in 'special snowflake' grounds.

Have you examples?

The Kinsey scale, just like all "psychology" that erupted from that time, is a load of pointless, utterly ridiculous garbage.

The premise is that all of gender, sex, sexuality and attraction is down exclusively to abstract sex with all the people in the world, and it must all be defined by whatever man/woman happens to mean at that time and place.

I think not.

I don't see how I could fit at all on that scale, where my concept of gender, sexual and romantic attraction, and reasons for actually having sex, or indeed watching porn, are not at all aligned with the oh so clean male/female universe others seem to be living in.
0. My dad will be proud.

X not a massive shock.
Got an X, changed an answer that I was on the edge about, got an F.
So I guess i'm between X and F then... xD
The test gave me a 6, but I'd say I'm more of a 5.
Got a 6 just confirming what I already knew

No sarcasm, does anyone know what the hell this is means?

Kinsey's main point was that you can't just catagorise people as straight or gay, many people experience differing degrees of sexual attraction to men and women, I don't see how that's "pointless, utterly ridiculous garbage".

It isn't really about romantic attraction. There's lots of reasons people have sex, but it's fair to say that most of the time, sexual attraction is a big deal. But this doesn't have to relate to sex you actually have- an obvious example would be a 6 male, in many socieities, may sadly only have sex with women, due to social pressures.

Can I still call myself a lesbian if I only want to date girls yet I feel like I may be a 5 as opposed to a 6?
