100% definately get some form of work experience from either a chemist or a hospital (or better yet both!) Start writing letters, ringing round etc etc and get a job working in one for the summer if possible...that always looks good.

Do voluntary work helping the community i.e. in an old folks home, something involving people work.

Get A's in all ur subjects, that usually helps

Yup I agree with those comments to, I would say work experience definetely enhances your application, and obviously the most important is to aim high and get aroung abb-aaa since that will get you in most of the decent unis. I'd say do some form of community work to further enhance it, I did a survey thing for Age Concern - demonstrating responsibility and maturity.

i think you dont particularly have to do community work, something like mentoring a kid in school is good enough.
Try joing Children's University...well that's what it was called over here! Mentoring kids!
