High functioning, dozy, and social anxiety

I'm fairly highly functioning with regards to depth of thought, and have the ability to do academic work to a good standard at graduate level +; though I have a few problems which I recognise:

Always feel tired and dozy, often regardless of sleeping pattern. I generally feel malaise, and lack motivation - but have a 'need to avoid failure' style motivation which keeps me above water and doing well. Though these symptoms don't feel medically pathological - they may be psychological.

I feel like I struggle socially - in a way - despite having a long term girlfriend and friends; as if I 'intellectualise' my social skills, due to a lack of them (developmental delay resulting in Aspergic like symptoms, perhaps)... So when I'm tired this method doesn't really work. I also suffer with poor hearing. I also feel generally paranoid, with a negative affect.

Wondering if anyone could suggest any course to improve things (i.e. medicine, therapy)? As is having a toll on mental health.
If anyone should hear about this, it's your girlfriend. You were lucky to get one, and now's your chance to treat her like one by opening up.

Speak to a counselor. Also your tiredness could be related to too much socialising. Try scheduling time when you can just be alone with your thoughts. Also if you feel that your asperger like symptoms are affecting your life you could look into a diagnosis as that will give you new insights into problem areas in your life.

Sounds familiar. In my experience the short answer was 'no'.

If you are genuinely compensating for a fundamental lack of social skills then you'll have already realised alcohol/rec drugs don't magically bridge the gap. Same goes for meds.

Therapy helped me realise what's available to me and what isn't but it doesn't bridge the gap. I still find socialising exhausting. I still find the social lives of others to be trivial and yet I still wish I could enjoy life like they do. However, since I stopped trying life got a whole lot easier. My studies improved and oddly enough as limited as it now is, my social life improved.

Etc etc. Like I said, in my experience.
