which uni should i go to?

hi im in year 13 and am currently writing my personal statement and filling out my ucas form. However i'm really stuck on which uni will be best for me to study geography (both human and physical but mainly human). I'm predicted an A in geography (possibly an A* if i'm really lucky), an a in maths and a B in chemistry.
i currently live in cornwall and love to be by the sea. however when i go to uni i want to experience living in a city but one that isn't too big that i will completely freak out as silly as that sounds. i'm also really keen on sport especially extreme sports like rock climbing surfing etc. and would like to continue these at uni.
thank you for your time reading by blabber

Hey I'm in the exact same position as you, looking for geography, human and physical but more human. I'm looking in the ABB - BBB area, but good unis for your predicted grades would be: Cardiff, Exeter, Lancaster, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Southampton?
Look on unis websites to see their course outlines because they can vary a lot and if you don't like many of the modules there's no point applying there.
Have you looked at any unis yet?

I'm sure that at whatever university you go to next September you will be able to continue the hobbies as every university has a broad choice of activities and societies you can join! With predicted grades of AAB you have a big choice of universities to pick from as most of them are AAB or ABB for geography.

Hi thank you for your reply .
oh i haven't looked at the last 3 i'll definitely have a look.
I've looked at swansea as they allow you to mix and match modules a lot ( think a lot more than other unis from what i can tell by reading overviews on uni websites). Good luck in finding a uni glad to hear someone else is in the same boat

Yeah definitely look, they're all top unis for geography and nice places. I was considering swansea but it seems very physical based rather than human, is it a good uni?
And thank you, good luck with yours too!

Swansea allow you to apply for BA Geography and you can choose between human and physical modules then go onto specialise in human but they also offer a lot of flexibility so for e.g. if you discover you prefer physical you can swap to BSC Geography. This is what i understood from the talk they gave at the open day. Also the students i spoke to said its really flexibly what modules you study and they all recommended swansea with great enthusiasm. The only problem i had is that its not in the Russell Group other than that it was everything i wanted and is literally right opposite a beach
Hope this helps

The student union was verry close to the student accomadation. They also have a convinence shop on site. There are also regular bus to the town centre and there is a tesco about two bus stops away. the sport facilities also look really good and they have a link to the water sports centre. hope this helps
