Estimating the radius of the nucleus.

Why is it that electron diffraction method is more accurate than Alpha scattering when it comes to estimating the radius of the nucleus?
Electrons have a much smaller mass and de brogue wavelength so they will travel faster and a smaller charge so they won't experience as much of an interaction with the nucleus as alpha particles, so they will give a much better diffraction pattern.

Their de brogue wavelength is very similar to the radius of the nucleus to give the better diffraction pattern.
