should i or not??

hi, basically, i am applying to uni next year to do a nursing diploma. haven't a clue which route to go for and haven't a clue if im gonna manage, as i am a single parent on benefits!really could do with some advice.....:confused:

Firstly - good for you for going for it an applying for Uni.

I am a mature student (and while I don't have kids myself) I have a lot of friends who are single parents who are doing my course. There is financial help available from the NHS and you can also get a small top up from Student Finance and benefits too - if you haven't already seen the facebook page Student Mummies then I would suggest a look as its mums who are going back to study and they can share all sorts of information with you.

I am at Bournemouth Uni and we even have accommodation for families so that might be something that you consider as an option.

It is possible and yes it is hard but it is so worth it :smile:
