Biological Sciences-fifth choice, Medicine hopeful!

Ok so I'd like to study Medicine at University but I have also placed Biological Sciences at Leeds as a 5th choice. I got an offer from Leeds for Biological Sciences on condition that I achieve AAA at A-level. I'm staggered-surely a Biomedical Degree shouldn't be asking for three As at A-level? All my friends have received offers with AAB, obviously they've applied to different unis but surely three As is quite a challenging demand. Why am I different?
