Hi, There is a very strong chance that I will have to do a foundation year for my degree subject (mechanical engineering). I was just wondering do you still get student finance for a foundation year e.g. a maintenance loan and a grant if it applies. Thanks

Foundation years would be covered if they are an integral part of your course from the outset.
If not then this would not be designated to receive any funding at all.
