Computing vs Computer Science?

Hello,

I am just wondering what the differences are between these two courses or subjects?

Any information would be great!
Honestly, I'm not that sure but I think Comp Sci has more Maths involved and somewhere on this site someone said it was looked at higher than Computing (I don't know whether to believe that, I wouldn't). I applied for CS at 4 uni's and Computing at Imperial because they don't do CS.

The best way to know which one you prefer though is to actually look at the course structure for each uni/course
It really depends on the Uni. As the above poster said, I'd have thought CS would be more mathsy than Computing but Imperial's Computing course is pretty much CompSci.

Ok thanks, just double checked all of the modules. I chose Computing as I would like to get an overview of various subjects within the IT sector before specializing in a subject. Thanks for the information, glad it's been clarified.
Pretty much the same thing. At least Imperial uses them interchangeably.
