Dissertation + Summer internship

I am doing MSc Economics from Warwick university and will be graduating in September 2015. I want to work after I graduate. Doing an internship in the summer of 2015 seems to be a logical step to get a pre placement offer from where I'll be working. But it will be a brutal summer for me to work in a bank or consultancy. I don't want to compromise on my preparation for my MSc dissertation. My query is whether I can manage both the projects if I start prepping for my dissertation now and be done with it in majority by the time I start the internship. Does it seem logical?
