Maths C3 Proof question

If anyone has done this question/has free time to help I'd be eternally grateful..
Just when I thought proof was easy too.

EDIT I've got as far as completing the square (which has a 95% chance of being wrong..)

notice the difference of two squares in the denominator of the second fraction
One strategy with a problem like this is to work at it from both ends. Try simplifying both sides separately. Once you've have, bridging the gap between them is a lot easier.
Thanks I got a little further!
I am fuming at this question though
Why the hell can't I do it
Must be missing something reeeally obvious D:
