SOAS or Queen Mary?

Which University has a better reputation in general?
I'd say they're pretty equal but of course SOAS is specialised so it depends on the field . . .

SOAS by far. Much better location, has a better reputation and it's pretty much unrivalled in it's field of expertise.

Queen Mary isn't in a great location and is a pretty average University.
I would go with SOAS since it's more prestigious. Plus it has a much better international reputation.
Queen Mary is a good University and has been gaining reputation in the past couple of years. SOAS has pretty much always been good and ranks near the top end of the tables (if that matters).

Depends what you want to do really. SOAS is the best in the middle-east etc and QM is more broader with lots of courses.

Visit both and see which you like. SOAS is right in the centre of London whereas QM is a bit further out.

Although I would put SOAS higher as a University in general, Queen Mary has a great law school attached to an average University. I would say that the Schools of Law of SOAS and Queen Mary are pretty equal.

If an employer saw a QM and SOAS law graduate, they would be considered pretty equal.

If your applying for another course then SOAS is the way to go. It has the better overall reputation.
