Starting new job at Tesco?

For the past year I have been working at Next. The money is fine but as it's my gap year and I will be starting uni in 2015, I was hoping to earn more money (I'm pretty broke after my travels over the summer).
I applied for a night-shift job at Tesco, I didn't get the job as some of the other candidates "did better in the work sample" and so I have been offered to join the day team. I had a choice of the left over jobs- and the one which suited my timetable best was working on frozen food. Has/does anybody have any advice about working on this dept? Any advice about being a Tesco employee? What happens on the first day?
My next store had been considerably smaller than the Tesco extra I'll be working in, I'm very nervous for some reason...
I'm very petite and I'm concerned that I won't be able to meet some demands of the job- pulling a cage/working quickly. I'm very academic, but not very strong...
