When do you get a notification telling you if a screenshot has been taken?
Is it only if the other person has screenshot the picture you sent?
Or do you also get one if they screenshot the picture they take before they send it?

If you're worried about people taking screenshots then the solution is simple, there is only one rule that you need to stick to.

Don't send any pictures you would be ashamed of if they were to get out.

It wouldn't make a difference to you whether they'd screen shotted their own photo or not, they're taking photos their phone and you don't come into it at all at that stage.

Notifications are only if they take a screenshot of what you've sent.

Yes please be careful not to send photos on snapchat that you would regret later. The app is setup to feel 'temporary' but obviously nothing is and any content is immediately owned by Snapchat itself.
