Dividing Direct Numbers

Can some please tell me how to divide direct number with brackets? I have a end of term maths assessment.......

I've never heard of a "direct number"!

Can you give us an example of a question you're trying to do?

I though of it after I replied I am assuming s(he) requires help with number division?
(is there a GSCE section or pre GCSE?

I think we need more info from the OP to be honest!

They could be talking about BIDMAS/BODMAS, or fractions involving bracketed quantities, or "directed" (i.e. signed) numbers or anything really!

A real example is always useful :smile:
