Errm, I don't know why, but this seems like a slightly racist thing to say.

Not all of Africa is in poverty. Many Africans live a happy life and don't look like the child in the pic.

It's unfair to paint them all like that.

But I guess that's expected from a Westerner who's only been exposed to how Western media portays Africa - as uncivilised and malnoriushed.

I never said that they were.

My point was that there are poor people in Africa, true, but it's not as bad as the media makes it seem. The majority of poor people in Africa don't look like the kid in the picture you posted. Is that simple point so hard to grasp?
