Ema 2nd year

i need help, apparently when you go onto your 2nd year of college your meant to get a bonus in september. i moved from my old 6thform to a new college to carry on my A2's.

Will i still get the bonus even tho i have signed contracts with a new college?

Also does anyone know how soon the bonuses are meant to be coming?

A "bonus"? What kind of bonus? I certainly never got one...

You get a £100 bonus for starting the 2nd year. I got mine last Friday :smile:

I guess it depends how fast your EMA-person at your school/6th form/college puts it all through to say you're doing the 2nd year.

Talk to whoever is in charge of the EMA system at your new college, they will put you straight :smile:

how far do they back date EMA, as i have only revieved this weeks money but have attended school fully since the start of term?

my friend left it for 10 weeks last year before she finally got her contract sorted out, she got £300 put into her account all at once :eek:

Apparently they'll only backdate if they receive your application before the end of September...so send it in quick if you haven't yet.

What are these bonuses for though? Spending on books? Why are they given out?
