Applying as an Engineering Officer in the RAF

Alright, so I have been looking to join the RAF as a regular for a few years now. Only recently it occurred to me to take a look at some of the medical requirements, as fitness wise I am more than fine.

3 years ago I had a mild reaction to peanuts, mild as in tingly lips. I was later sick and felt fine, and as a precaution the school matron booked me in for a GP appointment. She said I was fine, but proceeded to give me steroids which knocked me out, but I came round and was taken to A&E as a precaution. It was fine and I was discharged within 10 minutes. I later had a meeting with a specialist and had some tests, to discover that I was only mildly allergic, as in as long as I don't consume a significant quantity, then I am fine. I was given some anti-histamines and also an EPI-Pen, which were to be used as a last resort, and apparently these had to be issued as standard procedure. Ever since, I have been absolutely fine, and don't ever carry it with me, and even products which contain traces I still eat.

Will this affect me in my medical assessment?

Feedback would be great!
Thanks, Skippy.

There was no need for two separate threads when both are fairly close to one another. But anyway, that's done.

If you have it on your medical records that you suffer from a nut allergy, whether minor or not, it'll probably be cause enough for an application to not be successful. However, we are not the selection board. We are not recruiters. You want answers? Go to the people who can give you them.
