Do you have to specify how much work experience you have when applying to university?

For example, can you be vague and say you have "a few days" experience at a dental practice or do you have to specify that you only have 2 days experience?

What is important is saying what you learned from it.

You don't have to specify, but like Carnationlilyrose said, the important thing if what you learnt. Pick a particular event and say why it interested you, and/or say what new skills you acquired.
