EDT Headstart 2015 Applicants

I couldn't find a thread for those applying for any of the 2015 EDT Headstart courses, so I thought I would start one! :smile:

To get to know each other it would be great if you would state:

I think it greatly varies! There is obviously some competition to get into all of the courses, but the Oxbridge ones are known to be extra competitive!

Even so, if you never try, you'll never know :smile:

Haven't sent off application yet, refining the little PS section.

Courses I will apply for:
Manchester Nuclear Physics
Cambridge Material Science
Oxford Material Science
Leeds Chemistry
New Castle Chemistry

AS subjects:
Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry

AS predicted grades : AAAA

GCSE's: 6A*s 2As

What sort of things will you write in the PS section? The subjects I want to apply for have so little number of uni offering them so I need to apply for 3 different subjects which is making the PS really hard lol. I wrote it but it's kinda vague...

What's fast track supposed to mean though?
This is the email I got on 12th

Lucky students will be sent an offer of a Headstart place via email at 3pm on Tuesday, 3 March 2015.* This will be for one of the courses that they have told us they would like to attend.

If you are fortunate enough to receive an offer of a place for one of your preferred courses we suggest that you accept it if possible as we have received over 3,000 applications for 2,000 places.* To accept a place you must pay online and follow the instructions in the offer email.

On 3 March we'll send a text to students' mobile number plus the first named emergency contact to alert them that an offer has gone out.* We'll also email the teacher named in the application saying a place has been awarded but not what the place is.

Well Done! I got a text today that I got an offer, but I didn't find any emails on it??? I was really confused.

Also what were your GCSE and AS predicted grades?

Hmm that's odd maybe send them an email to confirm?
I got 1 A^ (A* with distinction) 8 A* 3A and a B
i am predicated 4 A's in maths, further maths, physics and geography

I think I shall wait till tomorrow when they are officially announced - I'm very excited though, have all the Cambridge offers come out early?

Aaaahhh everyone's getting all these offers and I haven't gotten any its making me freak out :frown:

Anyho,
Courses applied for: Cambridge Broad, Warwick Math & CompSci, Bath Chem Eng
IB subjects: SL English Lit & Italian, HL Math, Physics, Chemistry & Economics
IB predicted grades: (haven't gotten any)
GCSE's: 11 A*s + A in FSMQ
Any other relevant information: kinda freaking out about getting this course, haven't applied for UNIQ, Sutton etc. or anything else!
