Maximum trig value without calculus

Could anybody advise me how to find the maximum and minimum values of the following equations? (Or just one so I know how to do the others☺️)

Sinxcos10-cosxsin10
Cos30cosx-sin30sinx
Sinx+cosx
7cos2x+24sin2x {=25cos(2x-1.29)}

Thanks😊

they require slightly different techniques, based on the compound angle formulas,but essentially writing them as single sine or cosine and using the fact that sin/cos oscillate between -1 and 1 is what you need

So it's a matter of writing it as a single sin/cos and subbing in 1 and -1 ?

In a nutshell yes

E.g.

sin(x-10) "lives" between -1 and 1
cos(3x+40) "lives" between -1 and 1
5sin(x-60) "lives" between -5 and 5
2cos(5x0) "lives" between -2 and2

Any good?
